"MIX IT UP" FOR CLEARBROOK
Golf Outing and Barbecue Mix Business with Pleasure in Support of Individuals with Disabilities
PALATINE, IL September 13, 2004 - On Sunday, October 10, 2004, White Oak Gourmet and Relocation Advisors Group, Inc. will clean off their spikes and warm up the grill for an afternoon on the greens benefiting the children and adults with developmental disabilities served by Clearbrook. For $35 per person for golf and barbecue or $25 for barbecue and drinks only, the day will tee-off at noon with a nine-hole tournament at Nickol Knoll Golf Club in Arlington Heights with a mixer featuring refreshments running from 1:30 until 5:00 p.m.
While traditional outings emphasize the game of golf, this one differentiates itself by focusing on food specialties created by Chef Tom Leavitt of White Oak Gourmet. Additionally, guests are encouraged to watch football in the clubhouse and purchase $5 raffle tickets for an array of food and hospitality prizes - from a one-week stay in a two bedroom cabin next to Raspberry Bay in Wisconsin ($900 value), to a gourmet five course dinner for four prepared in the home ($450 value). Other prizes - totaling over $2,000 - include: golf shirts and luggage from Relocation Advisors Group, as well as gift certificates from Lynfred Winery, Mia Cucina, India House, Fuddruckers, Einstein Brothers Bagels, Wal-Mart, Suntan Studio, Casual Corner, Comfort Suites Schaumburg, Starbucks, Nickol Knoll Golf Course, Lynfred Winery, Advidson Pool and Spa, "Healing Your World" (massage therapy) and more. Everyone will come out a winner, however, as all raffle non-winners will receive a $25 gift card to Le Titi De Paris in Arlington Heights. Fast Color Print Inc. printed the color invitations at no cost.
"Food, fairways, football, fun and fantastic gifts - all to benefit Clearbrook, that's what this golf outing is all about," said Rick Hauser, broker/owner of Relocation Advisors Group, Inc., a Real Estate company that represents home buyers 100%. "We organized this first-time event in conjunction with White Oak Gourmet to celebrate our partnership and give back to the community, namely through Clearbrook and their commendable mission. As one of our home-closing gifts, Chef Tom does a great job 'cooking up' meals for an entire week for people who buy a home though us, and we thought it would be a good idea to 'cook up' some contributions for Clearbrook."
All net proceeds from the day will be donated to Clearbrook, a non-profit organization creating opportunities for more than 2,300 individuals with disabilities, as well as their families, throughout the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago.
