Recreation -- Recreational opportunities include hiking, horseback riding, and golfing.

Schools -- Most elementary students in Long Grove attend classes in Kildeer-Countryside District #96 with total enrollment of 3,644 students in five schools. There are three private elementary schools in the area. Most high school students attend Adlai E. Stevenson High School District #125 with 3,360 students in nearby Lincolnshire. Mundelein High School District 120 serves a small area at the village's northern boundary.
